About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Manage the Project Team to meet goals, budgets, and customer satisfaction objectives
Develop contacts and relationships with potential customers
Participate in or lead owner/client presentations and negotiations
Negotiate business and legal provisions of construction contracts
Oversee design development, budget preparation, and project schedules
Develop procurement strategy, prepare bid documents, negotiate, and award subcontracts
Supervise Project Engineers, Senior Project Engineers, Project Managers, and Project Assistants
Develop onboarding and training plans for new engineering hires
Manage accounts receivable and ensure prompt collection
Ensure team administrative responsibilities are completed accurately and promptly
Resolve team warranty issues promptly and effectively
Provide technical leadership for complex MEP systems in data centers and mission-critical facilities
Coordinate with MEP subcontractors on quality control and risk management
Track specialized MEP materials and avoid supply chain delays

Requirements

What you’ll need

Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Construction Management/Science, or equivalent work experience
At least 10 years of proven experience, preferably in the Mission Critical/Data Center industry
Previous experience in the commercial construction industry with a focus on MEP systems is required
Able and willing to travel for projects
Proven knowledge of complex data center MEP Systems
Established understanding of early turnover dates, hand-offs to third party commissioning agency, and the overall commissioning process
Experience with data center critical work “Methods of Procedures” MOPs processes
Verification of employment to work in the U.S. required
