About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Review and process bind requests accurately and timely
- Validate application data against carrier system entries and update information
- Bind coverage within carrier platforms according to underwriting direction and carrier guidelines
- Complete required filings and binding documentation
- Review endorsement requests and determine processing requirements
- Partner with underwriters, retail agents, and carrier representatives
- Respond to inquiries about binding status, endorsement processing, requirements, and discrepancies
- Support offshore processing teams with complex endorsement scenarios
- Escalate complex issues or discrepancies
- Manage binding and endorsement workload to meet service levels and turnaround times
- Identify inconsistencies and take corrective actions
- Assist with complex endorsement requests requiring additional underwriting analysis
- Support process improvements and standard operating procedures
- Assist in onboarding and training new team members
- Collaborate with leadership to improve operational efficiency and standardization
- Share knowledge and best practices across the team
Requirements
What you’ll need- Experience in insurance operations, underwriting support, or a related role
- Exposure to transportation insurance or ability to quickly learn transportation-specific workflows
- Strong attention to detail with a focus on data accuracy and quality control
- Demonstrated problem-solving skills and ability to manage escalated or complex tasks
- Effective communication skills with ability to collaborate across multiple stakeholders
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a high-volume, fast-paced environment
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Teams, and OneNote is helpful
- Adherence to company policies, carrier guidelines, and regulatory requirements
