About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Manage the life-cycle performance of all assets in the supported Business Unit
- Manage fleet performance, idle assets, asset task forces, product lines, margins, customer and location profitability, and vehicle performance
- Provide direction, prioritization, strategy, and influence across Sales, Rental, Maintenance, SCS, RVS, and other functional areas
- Manage NYE, term-out units, redeployment, and under-performing units across product lines
- Facilitate asset calls, Business Unit asset reviews, and special projects
- Coordinate new units, order status, OEM/manufacturer and purchasing activities, and sales-force requirements
- Manage rental fleet performance, idle assets, rental-to-lease coordination, out-of-service processes, new-unit delivery, and training for the Rental organization
- Coordinate maintenance asset calls, in-service and out-of-service units, transfers, product-line changes, and reviews of under-performing vehicles
- Support SCS fleet management, asset requests, redeployments, account management, term-out/expired units, and GAM units
- Coordinate RVS out-of-service scheduling, UTC/shop rejections, end-of-lease sales, and liaison activities between the Business Unit and UTC
- Fulfill asset requests and manage R2L, SVN, VCNs, in-service/out-of-service processes, NYE, NLE, reports, product lines, depreciation adjustments, and fleet analyses
- Lead weekly asset calls, monthly and annual reviews, location visits, low-performing account reviews, and acquisition-process fleet analysis
- Promote collaboration and Asset Management principles; provide expertise, problem-solving, and training across the organization
- Review fleet financial performance and ensure proper depreciation to salvage throughout asset life
- Perform other duties as assigned
Requirements
What you’ll need- Bachelor's degree required in Business Administration, Finance, Accounting, or Economics
- Five (5) years or more experience in Rental, Operations, Sales, or industry-related experience required
- Experience managing fleet performance, assets, product lines, margins, profitability, and vehicle performance
- Ability to lead, motivate, train, and develop others
- Ability to influence cross-functional teams throughout varying chains of command
- Strong oral and written communication skills
- Strong presentation and analytical skills focused on managing assets
- Strong customer focus
- Ability to create and maintain professional relationships at all organizational levels
- Ability to work independently and as a member of a team
- Ability to multitask; highly organized, with excellent time management skills
- Ability to deal with ambiguity
- Detail-oriented with excellent follow-up practices
- Willingness to travel 20–30%
