Key responsibilities & impact

Become familiar with organizational systems and recommend modified or new procedures for specialized customer or business-user needs
Audit and verify expense payments and/or weekly billing for individual clients
Prepare and maintain audit documents for operational and contractual accuracy
Audit manifests daily by verifying notes, adding revenue, and reviewing expenses to be paid
Use the Customer Weekly Report for daily manifest audits
Invoice assigned clients daily and/or weekly
Understand the contract for each assigned client
Maintain client contract files and perform audits assigned by the Supervisor
Maintain client billing instruction documentation
Train as backup for other clients when another Billing Specialist is out of the office
Communicate with field operations by email or phone for clarification
Research discrepancies or previous billings to ensure order accuracy
Perform other duties as assigned

What you’ll need

H.S. diploma/GED required
Computer literate with general knowledge of software including Microsoft Office Suite
Good written and verbal communication skills
Ability to work with minimum supervision
Ability to work a flexible schedule to meet business needs
Excellent customer service skills
Ability to prioritize, handle multiple tasks, and meet tight timelines
Some positions may require employment and education verification, motor vehicle records check, road test, and/or customer badging or background requirements
