About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Oversee day-to-day operations within an assigned function
- Manage all aspects of Operations and Account Management
- Lead direct reports and attain daily operational goals within the assigned functional area
- Manage customer service satisfaction and expectation management
- Manage staffing performance and development of exempt and non-exempt employees
- Manage day-to-day planning and scheduling
- Manage health and safety
- Ensure compliance with state, local, and federal regulations
- Perform other duties as assigned
- Provide off-shift support during critical customer network disruptions or crises
- Serve as the management and professional representative of Ryder
Requirements
What you’ll need- H.S. diploma/GED required
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Logistics, Supply Chain preferred
- Two (2) years or more relevant experience in supply chain, logistics, warehouse or industry related field required
- One (1) year or more direct supervisory/leadership experience required
- Proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Access) required
- Advanced logistics industry knowledge required
- Advanced knowledge and understanding of Customer/Company local and Federal regulations required
- Intermediate fundamental knowledge of Supply Chain Management components required
- Advanced knowledge of Manufacturing and Production required
- Ability to work within international functional teams
- High level analytical ability where problems are unusual and difficult
- Demonstrated technical and professional skills in job-related area
- Off-shift support in the event of critical customer network disruption or crisis
- Strong oral and written communications skills
- Ability to create and maintain professional relationships within all levels of the organization
- Ability to work independently and as a member of a team
- Flexibility to operate and self-driven to excel in a fast-paced environment
- Capable of multi-tasking, highly organized, with excellent time management skills
- Detail oriented with excellent follow-up practices
- Willingness to work either Mon-Fri 17:30-03:30 or Tue-Sat 17:30-03:30
