About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Provide consistent, tactical Employee Relations consultation to managers and employees
  • Resolve employee issues and advise on conflict resolution, disciplinary action, and termination
  • Conduct and participate in all phases of local HR investigations
  • Develop investigation plans and conduct fair, neutral, and timely investigations
  • Oversee daily administration of reported concerns within ServiceNow and Navex case management systems
  • Manage employee relations matters through policy interpretation regarding conflict resolutions, disciplinary actions, and termination procedures
  • Partner with Operational Management, Business HR, Labor Relations, Legal Teams, and other subject-matter experts on complex Employee Relations situations
  • Deliver high-quality HR support through performance management, legal compliance risk mitigation, administration of applicable union collective bargaining agreement provisions, employee communication, and collaboration with centers of excellence
  • Analyze and interpret data to monitor employee relations trends and support proactive and preventative actions
  • Provide recommendations to Operational Management and HRBPs
  • Maintain knowledge of legal requirements and employment legislation within the region
  • Travel as needed to company sites within the supported region
  • Perform other duties as assigned

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Bachelor's Degree in human resources, organizational management, law or equivalent major; or additional four (4) years of required experience
  • Five (5) years or more in HR compliance, HR generalist or employee relations
  • Proficiency in MS Office suite (Intermediate)
  • Knowledge of federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations (Intermediate)
  • Ability to conduct sensitive investigations and identify violations of federal, state and local regulations and/or company policies and procedures
  • Strong organizational, analytical, and negotiation skills
  • Strong conflict resolution skills and ability to remain impartial during investigations
  • Strong oral and written communication skills
  • Ability to create and maintain professional relationships within all levels of the organization
  • Ability to handle confidential information appropriately
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
  • Ability to upskill and train on technology and functional aspects of case management systems
  • Flexibility to operate and self-driven to excel in a fast-paced environment
  • Ability to multitask, stay highly organized, and manage time effectively
  • Detail-oriented with excellent follow-up practices
  • Bilingual English/Spanish is a plus
