About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Manage the overall financial, operational, and employee aspects of multiple accounts
- Drive profitable retention and growth of business across multiple accounts
- Ensure financial, employee, safety, and customer satisfaction goals are met
- Set goals, assess skills, create individual development plans, support career development, conduct performance evaluations, and provide ongoing feedback
- Manage disciplinary actions, warning documentation, and performance improvement plans
- Develop direct and indirect reports and provide relevant HR skills training
- Select qualified personnel and maintain appropriate staffing levels
- Create location processes, maintain SCLM, and cross-train CLS and CLC employees
- Resolve customer satisfaction issues and review and improve KPI tracking
- Ensure staff training in transportation and distribution management
- Improve employee retention and reduce accidents and unnecessary overtime
- Follow up on collision/team safety reporting and first reports of injury
- Recommend and implement location process improvements and assign responsibilities
- Conduct ongoing self-audits of location processes and individual accountabilities
- Reconcile SOX invoices, prepare SOX revenue recognition, and invoice customers
- Perform other duties as assigned
Requirements
What you’ll need- Bachelor's degree in business, logistics, supply chain, or an additional two years of relevant work experience required
- 5+ years of relevant experience in supply chain, logistics, warehouse, or an industry-related field
- 5+ years managing large multi-level teams required
- 3+ years developing and implementing complete logistics solutions and project management required
- 1+ year managing customer KPIs required
- Demonstrated project management and facilitation skills
- Strong oral and written communication skills
- Ability to create and maintain professional relationships across the organization
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Flexibility and self-direction in a fast-paced environment
- Multitasking, organization, and time management skills
- Detailed orientation and excellent follow-up practices
- Basic PC skills, including Microsoft Office
- Master's degree in a related field preferred
- Experience leading, coaching, mentoring, and developing leaders preferred
- 5+ years managing, leading, and developing direct reports preferred
- 3+ years leading teams in a LEAN work environment preferred
- 3+ years of Profit & Loss responsibility preferred
- Sales and multi-client experience preferred
- Knowledge of truck brokerage, logistics/transportation industry, Ryder safety programs, Ryder financial reporting and accounting procedures, RD2000, Ryder products and services, Ryder sales process, and Ryder pricing models preferred
- Additional screening may include employment and education verification, motor vehicle records check, road test, and customer badging or background requirements
