About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Provide leadership for the Distribution Center and supervisors responsible for turnkey warehousing and transportation solutions
- Interface directly with customers regularly and resolve issues promptly while maintaining customer satisfaction
- Lead strategic operational planning and execution
- Identify and solve operational issues through continuous improvement and LEAN initiatives
- Hire, supervise, develop, and manage employee performance
- Maintain positive employee relations
- Maintain effective communication within and across work groups
- Review data and implement necessary actions
- May manage profit and loss statements depending on operational complexity and scope
- Lead a proactive safety program consistent with company policy
- Instruct and enforce safety management plans, training, and processes
- Monitor equipment maintenance using checklists and observations
- Perform other duties as assigned
Requirements
What you’ll need- H.S. diploma/GED required
- Five (5) years or more relevant experience in supply chain, logistics, warehouse or industry related field required
- Five (5) years or more managing, leading and developing direct reports required
- Experience analyzing data and trends
- OEM experience preferred
- Experience working across multiple teams with an understanding of continuous improvement
- Excellent problem solving skills
- Excellent oral and written communication skills with demonstrated leadership capabilities
- Ability to create and maintain professional relationships within all levels of the organization, peers, work groups, customers, and supervisors
- Ability to work independently and as member of a team
- Flexibility to operate and self-driven to excel in a fast-paced environment
- Strong organization, analytical, and computer skills
- Ability to create and develop an inclusive and engaged work environment
- Capable of multi-tasking, highly organized with excellent time management skills
- Detail oriented with excellent follow-up practices
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Logistics, Supply Chain preferred
- Master's degree in Business, Logistics, Transportation or related field preferred
- Three (3) years or more Profit & Loss responsibility preferred
- One (1) year or more customer interaction preferred
- Must have valid legal authorization to work in Canada
