About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Manage all activities associated with efficient operation of accounts
- Manage quality operations within a 136,000-square-foot distribution and kitting facility
- Manage and develop a team of eight Quality Associates
- Drive quality excellence, compliance, continuous improvement, and customer satisfaction
- Serve as the primary point of contact for customer quality matters
- Lead root cause investigations, corrective and preventive actions (CAPA), customer audits, and resolution of quality concerns
- Manage performance of salaried and hourly employees, resolve performance issues, and ensure policy and procedure compliance
- Collaborate with senior management and customers to determine needs and expectations and operate the account accordingly
- Handle employee payroll
- Analyze weekly and monthly P&L statements to determine account profitability
- Provide financial data and weekly operations reports to senior management
- Manage accounts payable, vendor quotes for purchased materials, and customer invoicing
- Hold safety and security meetings, provide safety training, and ensure compliance with safety regulations
- Perform other duties as assigned
Requirements
What you’ll need- Experience leading quality operations within a warehouse, distribution, manufacturing, or supply chain environment
- Experience managing and developing teams of Quality Associates, Inspectors, or Quality Technicians
- Experience conducting root cause analysis and implementing corrective and preventive actions (CAPA)
- Experience serving as the primary point of contact for customer quality concerns, audits, and issue resolution
- Experience presenting quality findings and recommendations to customers and senior leadership
- Experience driving continuous improvement initiatives and process enhancements
- Experience influencing cross-functional stakeholders and navigating difficult quality-related discussions
- Experience utilizing quality metrics, trend analysis, and reporting to drive operational performance
- Strong leadership and motivating skills
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Effective interpersonal skills within a diverse team environment
- Problem-solving and analytical skills
- Excellent organizational skills and ability to prioritize, structure, and schedule tasks to meet deadlines
- Computer literacy and proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, including Excel and Word
- Advanced knowledge of transportation and/or warehouse logistics operations
- Advanced knowledge of safety and security requirements
- High school diploma/GED required
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Logistics, or Supply Chain preferred
- Three (3) years or more relevant experience in supply chain, logistics, warehouse, or industry-related field required
- Two (2) years or more managing and leading direct reports required
- Must be available to work on a flexible schedule on various work shifts
