About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Investigate and resolve bugs across the frontend, backend, and database
- Reproduce unexpected application behavior and identify the underlying technical cause
- Implement fixes and improvements using TypeScript and React
- Analyze application data and SQL queries to understand unexpected results and troubleshoot issues
- Use logs, monitoring tools, and error-tracking platforms to diagnose production problems
- Improve application usability by refining forms, filters, sorting, error handling, and other user-facing functionality
- Identify recurring technical problems and develop solutions that prevent them from happening again
- Contribute to code quality, application stability, dependency updates, and security improvements
- Collaborate with product and engineering teammates to prioritize issues and deliver reliable solutions
- Communicate technical findings clearly and document investigations and solutions for distributed teams
Requirements
What you’ll need- 2–4 years of experience developing and maintaining production web applications
- Strong proficiency in TypeScript and React
- Working knowledge of SQL and relational databases
- Experience debugging application issues and troubleshooting unexpected behavior in production or development environments
- Ability to investigate problems using logs, error reports, user feedback, and incomplete technical information
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
- Ability to understand existing codebases and make targeted improvements without introducing regressions
- Strong written and verbal English communication skills
- Comfortable collaborating asynchronously with a distributed engineering team
- Industry experience is not required
