  • Deliver comprehensive industry reports for the Chemical Economics Handbook and related services
  • Build independent market assessments using primary and secondary research
  • Analyze supply-demand balances, market dynamics, industry trends, macroeconomic drivers, and sector-specific drivers
  • Perform modelling and analysis to develop and improve analytical models
  • Identify new data sources and conduct statistical analysis
  • Support subject-matter experts in maintaining market balances, trade flows, and price forecasts
  • Write industry reports and publication-ready Chemical Economics Handbook research
  • Respond to client inquiries and provide expert insight directly or through subject-matter experts
  • Prepare client presentations and develop presentation skills
  • Collaborate with teams to ensure accurate and timely information and publications
  • Respond to client requests for data and analysis

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Up to 5 years of relevant experience in commodity markets; exposure to petrochemical markets is a plus
  • Academic or professional background in Chemical Engineering, Chemistry, Economics, Finance, Business, or another numerate discipline, combined with relevant experience or demonstrated interest in the chemical industry
  • Ability to manipulate and present data
  • Expert Microsoft Office skills
  • Advanced Excel skills
  • Working knowledge of Power BI/Tableau, SQL and/or Python is a positive
  • Natural curiosity about energy, chemical markets and sustainability
  • Well-rounded communication skills, including good listening techniques, concise writing, strong verbal skills, and attention to detail
  • Ability to communicate across a wide range of internal and external groups and personalities
  • Flexibility to work in a global, multi-time-zone team environment
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks for different stakeholders, meet regular deadlines, and adjust priorities based on team goals
