About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Perform data validation checks, lineage tracking, and metadata updates
- Execute data ingestion, validation, and integration activities
- Ensure adherence to enterprise data policies, governance frameworks, controls, and compliance requirements
- Support vendor data reviews and onboarding through quality assessments, validation checks, and issue resolution
- Maintain data standardization, stewardship documentation, process flows, data definitions, data dictionaries, and other stewardship artifacts
- Execute medium-complexity stewardship and validation tasks, escalating exceptions when required
- Respond to client data queries and coordinate issue triage with Operations and Client Services teams
- Collaborate with Technology teams on defect resolution, enhancement requests, and UAT for backend data and dataflow changes
- Contribute to automation and AI-enabled improvements
- Support UAT by validating data, coordinating test execution, and assisting with defect identification and resolution
- Collaborate with Data Operations and Data Quality teams on governance activities, quality controls, and issue remediation
- Support Product and Technology teams with data requirements, validations, and operational coordination throughout change cycles
- Coordinate vendor data review and onboarding processes
- Maintain accurate, audit-ready documentation and meet data quality and service-level targets
Requirements
What you’ll need- Background in quantitative, technical, or business discipline
- 4+ years of relevant experience in data, analytics, operations, or related functions
- Proficiency in SQL for data validation, reconciliation, and issue investigation
- Experience with metadata management and lineage tools
- Proficiency in Excel for validation, reconciliation, trend checks, and basic analysis
- Foundational familiarity with BI tools and dashboards
- Understanding of data governance fundamentals, data quality controls, stewardship roles, and ownership models
- Working knowledge of data ingestion, validation, and integration workflows
- Strong attention to detail
- Ability to communicate and collaborate effectively with Technology, Operations, and Vendor partners
- Analytical mindset, critical thinking, and creative problem-solving abilities
- Strong learning agility and digital acumen
- Ability to adapt to evolving tools and technologies
