Key responsibilities & impact

Oversee strategic priorities and ensure deliverables are completed on time
Move strategic initiatives from concepts to actionable business concepts
Lead or oversee cross-functional project teams
Coach and mentor across the wider organization
Advise on strategy development and execution, corporate development, and strategic partnerships
Develop market entry strategies, executive presentations, and financial analyses
Use scenario planning, case studies, and modeling to strengthen strategy
Analyze businesses and opportunities to support strategic decisions
Develop and maintain financial analysis models for investment evaluation, business cases, prioritization, and approvals
Articulate S&P Global strategy to key stakeholders
Prepare communications on strategy and updates for the board and investor community
Monitor industry trends, competitive landscape, emerging technologies, market conditions, regulations, and macroeconomic factors
Source, evaluate, and develop new business opportunities

Requirements

What you’ll need

10+ years of relevant experience including financial analysis, M&A modelling and execution, strategy, and/or senior executive exposure and support
Demonstrated ability to drive projects with significant strategic impact
Superior strategic and analytical skills with ability to draw key insights and develop clear recommendations
Highly motivated, demonstrated ability to take initiative and influence senior leaders
Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
Excellent communication and relationship management capabilities
Strong executive-level PowerPoint skills
Ability to summarize strategic rationale succinctly and clearly
Solid business acumen with knowledge and awareness of the financial data industry and markets
Indefinite right to work in the United States
Bachelor’s degree, Master’s degree in related field or MBA strongly preferred
Previous relevant experience in or interacting with a publicly listed company with global operations preferred
Knowledge of application of AI to financial services, emerging technologies, and experience developing technology strategies preferred
