About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Support and/or manage consulting projects across midstream and downstream oil
  • Work on energy transition and decarbonization studies
  • Provide transaction and due diligence support
  • Conduct investment and strategy analysis
  • Perform crude oil pricing and marketing analysis
  • Develop price and margin forecasts
  • Conduct NGLs and biofuels studies
  • Provide consulting and technical leadership and coach junior colleagues
  • Lead local consulting business development and close new consulting sales
  • Grow consulting revenue
  • Develop productive relationships with industry client companies to generate recurring business
  • Coordinate with consulting project teams and research groups
  • Collaborate across the global Energy consulting business
  • Represent chemical, oil markets, midstream, and downstream research to clients and prospects
  • Travel to meet different clients as needed

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Proven long-term downstream oil industry experience
  • Refinery experience in process engineering, operations, planning and economics, or project roles is ideal
  • Experience with refinery LP usage is ideal
  • Commercial track record of business development and delivery of large, complex projects
  • Highly effective verbal and written communication skills
  • Excellent interpersonal skills at all levels of business, including executive-level clients
  • Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment
  • Ability to participate in, lead, and manage large, interdisciplinary teams
  • Strong organization, creativity, time management, and project management skills
  • Bachelor's degree and a graduate degree in engineering and/or business are preferred
  • Any equivalent combination of experience and education will be considered
  • Candidates based in Canada must have indefinite right to work within Canada
