About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Lead the North America NBFI team and foster customer service, analytical decision-making, talent development, collaboration, and operational effectiveness
- Lead business transformation across practices
- Champion workflow redesign, automation, AI, and scalable repeatable analysis
- Contribute to Private Markets initiatives
- Lead forward-looking sector analysis across Financial Services
- Translate issuer and sector developments into decision-ready analytical and thematic perspectives
- Engage management teams, investors, regulators, and other market participants
- Represent S&P Global Ratings' analytical perspective while maintaining independence and objectivity
- Partner with Methodology teams on global criteria interpretation and application
- Contribute market insights to strengthen methodologies and analytical practices
- Identify emerging trends for monitoring, research, and rating committee discussions
- Coach and mentor analysts and senior analysts
- Oversee innovation in sector analysis while maintaining governance and analytical discipline
Requirements
What you’ll need- Bachelor's degree or equivalent required
- Master's degree or professional certification such as CFA highly valued
- 10 or more years of relevant experience in credit analysis or financial services
- Lead the North America NBFI team
- Strong analytical decision making and sector expertise
- Experience with workflow redesign, automation, and AI
- Ability to develop differentiated sector commentaries and thematic insights
- Ability to represent S&P Global Ratings with senior external stakeholders
- Ability to partner with Methodology and Research & Development teams
- Ability to identify emerging risk themes and trends
- Ability to coach and develop analytical talent
- Ability to oversee innovation while maintaining analytical discipline, controls, and governance
- Indefinite right to work in the United States
- Final-stage candidates must attend at least one in-person interview
