About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Create tools and frameworks with quality code to simplify testing scenarios
Design and develop test plans and test cases based on functional and design specifications
Execute test cases and analyze and report test results
Partner with development teams to deliver business functionality on time and at required quality
Act as a test lead, plan other testing staff’s work and assign tasks to meet project deadlines
Provide testing guidance and assist project staff
Review and approve scripts, expected results, test results and defect descriptions
Ensure testing best practices are followed and activities stay on schedule
Build efficient solutions for Web, Services/APIs and Database testing
Participate in internal and cross-team meetings, project scoping, functional reviews and technical reviews in an Agile environment
Participate in requirements, architecture and design reviews with emphasis on test automation and performance strategy
Participate in functional, system and regression testing
Capture quality assurance data and metrics
Estimate and perform risk analysis for quality delivery

Requirements

What you’ll need

2+ years of experience in software testing or development
Good understanding of testing, coding and debugging procedures
Programming experience using Python, Java or other languages
Experience designing and developing automated tests using tools such as Selenium and Appium across UI, service and data layers
Root cause analysis experience
Ability to identify automatable test cases across UI, services and data layers
Experience refactoring and extending test automation/performance frameworks and suites
Experience with SOAP and REST services and SOA architecture
Exposure to distributed source control systems such as Git
Exposure to SQL/PL-SQL, SQL queries, stored procedures and RDBMS
Experience with Data Quality testing
Experience with Test Data Management and mapping automated test code coverage
Experience developing Test Plans and Test Cases, Exploratory Testing and Defect Reports
Experience with performance testing tools such as HP Load Runner, Performance Center, Storm Runner and JMeter
Ability to explain complex technical issues to technical and non-technical audiences
Strong communication skills and ability to deliver clear documentation and presentations
Excellent problem solving, analytical and technical troubleshooting skills
Experience testing in CI, DevOps and rolling deployment/upgrade models is a plus
Knowledge of AWS/Azure and testing micro-services, containers and Dockers is a plus
Indefinite right to work within the USA
Bachelor's or higher qualification in Computer Science, Information Systems or equivalent is preferred
