About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Evaluate credit risk of securitized products and fund structures
  • Analyze underlying asset performance, structural protections, cash-flow mechanics, and downside stress scenarios
  • Produce opinions helping issuers and investors compare complex instruments
  • Provide perspectives on performance trends, issuance conditions, and AI's role in origination and securitization
  • Execute or lead end-to-end credit analysis and surveillance for assigned structured finance credits
  • Synthesize portfolio performance, market signals, and peer context into decision-useful insights
  • Prepare and review analytical inputs and outputs
  • Reconcile metrics and document assumptions in line with methodology, sector frameworks, and evidentiary standards
  • Engage with external stakeholders and translate complex analysis into client-ready narratives
  • Communicate S&P Global's analytical expertise to market participants
  • Ensure adherence to methodology, confidentiality, and data governance requirements
  • Escalate issues early with recommendations
  • Use approved AI tools and data responsibly
  • Guide and coach junior analysts and research staff at Senior Analyst level
  • Create reusable analytical assets and propose automation improvements
  • Contribute to the design, testing, and rollout of controlled automation workflows

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • 1+ years of relevant experience for Rating Analyst level in structured finance, credit analysis, or a related financial field
  • 3 to 5 years of relevant experience for Senior Analyst level in structured finance, credit analysis, or a related financial field
  • Demonstrated credit, financial, and risk analysis skills
  • Ability to link fundamental drivers to forward-looking views and risk appetite
  • Effective written and verbal communication skills
  • Willingness to learn and apply AI tools, large language models, and automation technologies
  • High standards for analytical quality, traceability, and governance
  • Fluent English required
  • Experience analyzing ABS, RMBS, or corporate securitizations
  • Ability to support, advise, influence, or coach junior colleagues
  • Ability to contribute to scalable automation and agentic workflows
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent required
  • Master's degree or professional certification such as CFA highly valued, not required
  • Practical experience embedding AI, large language models, or automation agents into analytical workflows for Senior Analyst level
  • Demonstrated ownership and execution maturity across multiple credits for Senior Analyst level
