About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Professionally answer inbound calls from customers, policyholders, insurance agents, or auto glass shops using scripted prompts
- Accurately enter claim data into production systems during live phone calls
- Guide customers through filing glass claims by building rapport and focusing on their specific needs
- Verify insurance coverage and deductible amounts and communicate the information to customers
- Assist customers with scheduling repair, replacement, and/or recalibration services at Safelite or non-Safelite shops according to customer preference
- Use provided systems and resources to enhance the customer experience
- Resolve customer complaints and concerns while providing accurate product and service information
- Perform other duties assigned by leadership
Requirements
What you’ll need- Full-time resident of Arizona, Florida, Georgia, Kansas, Mississippi, Nebraska, North Carolina, North Dakota, Ohio, Oklahoma, South Carolina, Tennessee, or Texas
- Must provide your own equipment
- Dedicated, distraction-free workspace with no background noise or interruptions
- 100% attendance required during the first 3 weeks of training
- Personal computer or laptop with Windows 11; Macs, Chromebooks, and tablets are not compatible
- High-speed internet with download speed of at least 25 Mbps, upload speed of at least 10 Mbps, ping of 50 ms or lower, and jitter of 20 ms or lower
- Ethernet cable and ability to connect directly to modem; Wi-Fi cannot be used
- USB wired headset
- Webcam
- Cell phone capable of downloading a multifactor authentication app and receiving push notifications
- Comfortable working in a highly structured, performance-based environment while demonstrating high ethical and confidentiality standards
- Knowledge of computer and telephone systems and ability to operate them confidently in a remote environment
- Ability to establish rapport and credibility with customers, stores, and peers
- Ability to read and use provided scripting conversationally and timely
- High level of empathy and integrity
- Upbeat personality and authentic willingness to assist customers
- Previous experience working in a contact center or other customer service role
- 16+ years of age
- High School Diploma or equivalent, or actively enrolled
