About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Own a domain of company performance, including diagnosis, roadmap, realized value, and executive relationship
- Frame unarticulated business problems and convert executive concerns into structured, decision-ready agendas
- Lead priority setting across Strategy & Operations and adjacent operating teams
- Resolve competing executive demands without escalating each one
- Set analytical standards and arbitrate contested numbers with Finance and the executive team
- Move executive conversations from discussion to decision
- Broker agreement between leaders who are stuck
- Build management rhythms and standards, including cadences, systems, tooling, and documentation
- Report portfolio value to the executive team with credible attribution
- Manage and develop three to four people, including Managers
- Build the team bench, run difficult conversations, and grow leaders
- Own hiring for the function and shape its operating model, standards, and culture
- Translate frontline operating reality into Product, Data Engineering, and AI roadmap requirements
- Set standards for evaluating AI investments based on real business cases
- Stay hands-on with models, memos, and working sessions when stakes justify it
- Work cross-functionally across healthcare, logistics, technology, Operations, Product, and Data Engineering
- Build the next generation of Strategy & Operations talent
Requirements
What you’ll need- Bachelor's degree or equivalent in Economics, Business, Finance, Computer Science, or a related field
- 7-9 years in management consulting, business operations, or product development, or a combination
- Demonstrated ownership of enterprise-level, cross-functional programs with measurable business outcomes
- Experience managing and developing a team, including people who manage others or lead workstreams independently
- Executive presence with range across executive and frontline operating environments
- Deep analytical and technical fluency
- Comfort with data and with reasoning about platforms, automation, and agentic AI tools, such as Claude or Claude Code
- Ability to assess what is worth building
- Track record in ambiguous environments where the problem was not defined for you
- Strong business judgment
- Orientation toward durable operating change rather than one-time analysis
- Ability to operate as a player-coach, staying hands-on while leading through others
- Experience leading strategy or platform initiatives inside a product organization is strongly preferred
- Technical background, such as a CS or engineering degree or early-career building experience, is useful but not required
- Consulting foundation, including MBB or equivalent, is useful but not required
- MBA or comparable achievement signal is a plus
- Familiarity with healthcare, logistics, transportation, marketplaces, or regulated operating environments is useful
