About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Oversee and lead food and beverage operations across the Mesa Convention Center and Mesa Amphitheater
  • Manage concessions, banquets, catering sales, and premium services
  • Oversee guest experience, event innovation, financial performance, sales, and revenue generation
  • Uphold Legends Global standards of quality, service, and performance
  • Serve as the primary contact for client and ownership communications related to food and beverage services
  • Build relationships with clients, ownership, business partners, leagues, and key stakeholders
  • Lead, develop, and inspire the management team
  • Develop and execute annual operating and capital budgets, including labor forecasting, product mix, pricing strategy, and cost controls
  • Oversee operational budgets, monthly P&L performance, financial reporting, forecasting, and variance analysis
  • Review and submit financial reports, monthly projections, and inventory reconciliations
  • Manage timekeeping, scheduling, labor, inventory controls, accounts payable, and accounts receivable
  • Lead weekly food and beverage operations meetings
  • Oversee procurement, vendor management, subcontractors, concessionaires, and nonprofit partners
  • Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and Legends Global policies
  • Establish safety, sanitation, and quality assurance programs
  • Oversee maintenance and lifecycle management of operational assets, including foodservice equipment and POS systems
  • Refresh food and beverage programs annually based on fan preferences, seasonal trends, and club identity
  • Participate in event production and operations meetings
  • Execute contractual obligations and support facility operations
  • Interview, hire, train, assign, direct, evaluate, reward, and discipline employees; address complaints and resolve problems

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Bachelor’s degree preferred as the ideal candidate qualification
  • Minimum of 5 years’ management experience in the contract foodservice industry
  • Experience in high-volume foodservice operations, preferably concessions or banquets for a convention center or live entertainment venue
  • Experience overseeing the sale of alcohol
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to multitask and prioritize in a deadline-oriented environment
  • Previous P&L accountability and/or contract-managed service experience preferred
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and POS Systems required
  • Demonstrated initiative, leadership, and management skills
  • Flexibility to work extended hours, including late nights, weekends, and holidays
  • Highly organized, self-motivated, and able to work independently
  • Some physical exertion is required
