About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Conduct in-depth analyses of market trends, the competitive landscape, and customer needs in the German market.
- Prepare structured market and competitive analyses.
- Develop and continuously refine product launch, pricing, and go-to-market strategies for the European market.
- Translate insights into product requirements and priorities for ongoing product development.
- Develop specific optimization recommendations for product teams at headquarters.
- Own the product adaptation and localization strategy for European markets.
- Address functional, regulatory, certification, compliance, language, and cultural requirements.
- Manage the entire product lifecycle, from market launch through growth and maturity stages.
- Collaborate with Sales, Aftersales, and Marketing to communicate product value effectively to target audiences.
- Serve as the product expert for the European market.
- Deliver product training and provide subject-matter support to Sales, Technical Support, and Marketing teams.
- Collaborate cross-functionally and support product launches.
Requirements
What you’ll need- Bachelor’s degree or higher in Automotive Engineering, Vehicle Technology, or a comparable technical discipline.
- At least 7 years of professional experience in automotive product management.
- In-depth knowledge of the European commercial vehicle market.
- Strong analytical skills and an entrepreneurial mindset.
- Ability to conduct market and competitive analyses and derive concrete, actionable strategies from them.
- Proven experience in successfully executing projects.
- Strong communication skills and experience delivering product and technical training.
- Excellent communication, project management, and coordination skills.
- Demonstrated ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
- Business-fluent German and English.
- Good knowledge of Chinese is an advantage.
