Develop test scripts
Generate test data
Perform data validation
Conduct web service testing
Test data interface messages, preferably with XML message sets
Develop SQL or Unix scripts for test data generation or test harness automation
Execute regression, functional, and system testing
Verify results and produce test summaries and defect reports
Identify defects and requirement discrepancies
Generate Jira tickets with defect descriptions and repeatable reproduction steps
Collaborate with development team members to understand defects and retest resolved issues
Develop, execute, and maintain automated test suites across multiple environments

Requirements

What you’ll need

Bachelor’s degree in computer science or related engineering field with 5+ years of technical experience
5+ years hands-on experience in software test execution and creation and implementation of Test Strategies, Test Plans, Manual Test Cases and Automated Test Scripts
Strong experience with Selenium, Cucumber, and Playwright
Some API testing experience
Backend testing experience is a prerequisite
At least 3 years of software development experience in Java and SQL programming
Strong SQL development skills, preferably PL-SQL
Solid understanding of relational databases
Ability to understand data models and write test scripts based on the data model
Minimum 3-5 years of experience with one Test Management Software suite: QuickTestPro, Test Director, LoadRunner, or Quality Center
Ability to evaluate test results, report on and manage defects in a timely fashion
Ability to obtain and hold a public trust position and favorable suitability based on a CBP Background Investigation
Must be a US Citizen
Must be within the GWA/commutable area for required on-site visits
Experience in all stages of application testing, including backend, functional, usability, regression, load/stress, and performance testing
Experience with integration-level testing
Ability to develop, execute, and maintain automated test suites across backend applications, web services, UI, and desktop environments
Web service testing using Soap UI with basic XML knowledge
Ability to define and generate meaningful test metrics
Experience with XML and NIEM is a plus
Experience working in an agile development process is a plus
Master’s degree in computer science or related field is a plus
