About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Design, develop, test, and maintain enterprise web applications using React
- Develop reusable, modular, maintainable React components and responsive, accessible user interfaces
- Develop interactive dashboards, complex forms, data tables, record-detail screens, workflow interfaces, search, filtering, sorting, pagination, navigation, and saved views
- Integrate React applications with RESTful APIs and backend services and implement client-side state management and data-fetching patterns
- Implement role-aware user experiences and support enterprise authentication and authorization, including SSO and MFA
- Develop interfaces for AI-generated or AI-assisted content and support human review and approval workflows
- Implement reporting, data visualization, and self-service export functionality
- Work with SQL/MariaDB relational data structures and write or understand SQL queries
- Translate requirements, user stories, acceptance criteria, and wireframes into production-quality interfaces
- Develop unit, component, and integration tests; participate in code reviews and maintain coding standards
- Troubleshoot front-end, browser, API integration, and application-performance issues
- Support system integration testing, user acceptance testing, regression testing, and production deployment
- Work in a Linux-based development environment using VS Code, Git, package managers, build tools, debugging tools, and shell utilities
- Participate in Agile/Scrum ceremonies and release activities
- Collaborate with the Product Owner/Scrum team to refine user stories, define acceptance criteria, estimate work, and deliver sprint objectives
- Develop and maintain technical documentation
Requirements
What you’ll need- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Systems, or a related technical discipline, or equivalent professional experience
- 5+ years of professional front-end or web application development experience, including 3+ years of hands-on React development
- Strong proficiency in React, JavaScript, HTML5, and CSS3
- Strong understanding of functional components, hooks, reusable component design, routing, state management, and modern React development patterns
- Experience developing enterprise-scale, data-intensive web applications and dashboards and integrating them with RESTful APIs
- Working knowledge of SQL and relational database concepts; familiarity with MariaDB/MySQL tables, relationships, queries, views, and data structures
- Experience with Git, automated front-end testing, responsive design, cross-browser compatibility, and secure front-end development practices
- Experience working in Linux-based development environments and comfort with the Linux command line/shell, environment variables, file systems, permissions, logs, and common development utilities
- Experience using Visual Studio Code (VS Code) or a comparable modern IDE
- Understanding of authentication, authorization, session management, and role-based access concepts
- Hands-on experience working as part of an Agile/Scrum software development team
- Strong analytical, debugging, problem-solving, written, and verbal communication skills
- Must be a US Citizen and able to obtain and maintain a Public Trust
