About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Participate as an active member of the agile software development team in all Program Increment and Sprint ceremonies
  • Design and develop .NET applications, including middleware, user interface, and web services applications
  • Develop and integrate with PostgreSQL server databases
  • Create software design documentation, including design diagrams, data flow diagrams, and software module descriptions
  • Use Integrated Development Environment tools, including Microsoft Visual Studio and Git
  • Manage software testing activities, including data setup, defect troubleshooting, and resolution
  • Provide Tier 3/4 engineering support for solutions deployed to production as needed

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science or a directly related field and five (5) years or more experience
  • 5+ years of experience in software development/engineering
  • Must be a U.S. Citizen with the ability to obtain and maintain a DHS Public Trust security clearance prior to starting
  • Experience with middleware and user interface-driven applications
  • Web Services development experience
  • Excellent troubleshooting and resolution skills
  • Experience with multi-threaded applications and exception handling
  • Experience integrating with hardware devices and vendor Software Development Kits (SDKs)
  • Ability to work in team environments across diverse projects with multiple stakeholders
  • Proficiency in JavaScript, Vue.js, C#, .NET Core, Web API, Visual Studio Code, Jenkins, GitLab, xUnit, and SonarQube
  • AWS experience
  • Agile development experience
  • Current DHS Public Trust clearance or ability to obtain one; employment is contingent upon having or obtaining clearance prior to starting
