About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Support the U.S. Space Force, Space Systems Command, in operational maintenance and sustainment of ground-based radars critical to missile surveillance, warning, defense, and space surveillance missions
  • Plan, develop, and deliver PARCS and UEWR assessments of systems and networks
  • Identify deviations from acceptable configurations, enclave policy, local policy, and RMF control requirements
  • Build security architectures and integrate new architectural features into existing infrastructures
  • Design cybersecurity architectural artifacts and provide engineering recommendations to resolve integration and testing issues
  • Develop cyber requirements to DoD 8570/8140 standards
  • Perform vulnerability assessments and compliance audits
  • Triage and prioritize findings
  • Design remediation solutions and apply configuration changes, system hardening, and patches to bring systems into compliance
  • Establish program control processes for certification testing, compliance documentation, investigations, software research, hardware introduction and release, inspections, and periodic audits supporting system assessment and authorization
  • Report to the SAIC Program Manager and Chief Engineer

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Bachelor's degree and nine or more (9+) years of related experience
  • Active Secret clearance
  • CompTIA Security+ or equivalent IAT Level II DoD 8570 certification
  • ACAS experience (Nessus / Tenable Security Center)
  • Experience with Nessus/Tenable Security Center, STIG Viewer, and EvaluateSTIG for RMF assessments and compliance audits
  • RHEL system administration and hardening experience in an on-premises environment (desired)
  • Scripting experience to support remediation and configuration tasks, such as Bash or Python (desired)
  • Experience supporting assessment and authorization (A&A) of DoD systems (desired)
  • Experience with enclave and network security within classified environments (desired)
