Present solutions at formal and informal design reviews
Document designs according to the Government’s system lifecycle methodology
Work across all layers of the application
Lead and mentor junior-level developers

Requirements

What you’ll need

Bachelor’s degree in computer science or related engineering field with 14+ years of technical experience or Master's and 12 years of technical experience
Provisioning, operating, and maintaining systems running on AWS or equivalent cloud providers
Solid backend systems experience using Spring Boot
Experience with Java frameworks such as Spring
UI development skills with Angular 19+
Database operations with Oracle and Postgres
Experience with Hibernate, JMS, XML, JSON, SQL, JDBC, Unix, Linux, and Kubernetes
Object-oriented analysis and design techniques
Understanding of infrastructure including firewalls, load balancers, storage, monitoring, and security
Experience with orchestration to develop a cloud solution
Experience with React, HTML, CSS, and JavaScript
Ability to lead and mentor junior developers
Openness to working on all application layers
Ability to obtain and hold a public trust position and favorable suitability based on a CBP Background Investigation
Must be a US Citizen
Must be within the GWA/commutable area
Desired: Master’s in Computer Science or related field; OAuth; automated unit testing with SOAP-UI, Selenium, or equivalent; SCM tools including Git and Gradle/Maven; load balancing and Enterprise Service Bus frameworks; Agile Scrum; Elasticsearch; Postgres, DynamoDB, HBase, MongoDB, Cassandra; JQuery, AngularJS, and NodeJS
