About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Manage day-to-day planning, scheduling, prioritizing, tracking, and reporting for mission-critical software development projects using Java and cloud technologies
- Coordinate project delivery and manage dependencies with other project teams
- Lead remote software development teams
- Facilitate critical stakeholder conversations, including shifting priorities, conflict resolution, and de-escalation
- Work with SELC documentation, including project plans, charters, business cases, requirements documents, test plans, and reports
- Work with business and solution resources to define, analyze, and document requirements and user stories
- Gather requirements from senior executives, clients, and business analysts
- Translate technical and functional requirements into technical documentation for project management and development teams
- Manage and implement business processes in data-centric, mission-critical environments
- Contribute to project scoping, requirement assessment, best practices, application design and development, and process methodologies
- Oversee work milestones end to end
Requirements
What you’ll need- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field with 9+ years of relevant experience
- 9+ years in agile development projects with strong working knowledge of Agile/Scrum methodologies
- 5+ years of demonstrated data analysis, requirements management and design experience
- Ability to coordinate and write technical documents and business process flows
- Familiarity with Java services
- Prior experience working with developers and data analysts
- Experience developing SELC documents
- Proficiency with Jira/Confluence
- Skills and knowledge utilizing Windows, Microsoft Office Suite, and the Atlassian suite of tools
- Ability to obtain and hold a public trust position and favorable suitability based on a CBP Background Investigation
- Must be a US Citizen
- Must be within the GWA/commutable area
- Experience in the design/development process of cloud native systems is desired
- Familiarity with AI/ML is a plus
- PMP Certification is a plus
- Certified Scrum Master (CSM) Certification is a plus
- Familiarity with SQL and NoSQL database types is desired
- Familiarity with JavaScript, jQuery, Spring Boot, ETL, automation testing, AWS Cloud, service-oriented applications, Angular, and React is desired
