About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Interface daily with program managers, accounting, contracts, subcontracts, procurement organizations, and external customers to address operational issues
- Prepare financial deliverables and internal/external reports
- Participate in developing budgets and spend plans for assigned programs
- Perform financial analysis on funding profiles and program financial variances
- Conduct cost, schedule, and contract performance variance analysis
- Submit and maintain purchase requisitions for subcontractors, consultants, and materials
- Monitor subcontractor costs and review/approve invoices
- Review, track, and approve customer invoice backup documentation
- Multi-task and support programs efficiently and accurately
- Support the full program life cycle from proposal development through contract closeout
- Develop and propose courses of action and recommendations for financial issues
Requirements
What you’ll need- Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited institution in Finance or Accounting
- Three (3) relevant years of experience in Federal government contracting
- Experience providing financial tracking and support for a government customer in Program Control, Finance, Cost Estimating, Financial Analysis, or Accounting
- US Citizenship
- No clearance required to start; ability to obtain a Secret clearance required to maintain employment
- Knowledge of general and corporate business practices, government contracting regulations and principles, and accounting and finance principles
- Complete understanding of ROS, ROC, annual operating plans, accounts receivable, revenue and profit forecasts, program baseline data, EAC development, and cost estimating/pricing
- Ability to make decisions using sound judgment while complying with policies and procedures
- Ability to present technical information clearly and concisely
- Robust analytical thinking to identify patterns and trends in financial data
- Advanced Excel skills for data modeling, financial analysis, and formula knowledge
