About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Participate in planning, tracking, analysis, and reporting on multiple projects of varying contract type, size, complexity, and risk
  • Interface with project managers, senior technical staff, contracts, finance, accounts receivable, procurement, and subcontract management organizations
  • Report detailed information and analyze financial data supporting project cost and schedule status
  • Present briefings to SAIC managers and customers as required
  • Prepare accurate and timely customer weekly and/or monthly status reports, including burn rate and LOF information
  • Support development of spend plans and perform financial analysis, including maintaining Estimate at Completion (EACs)
  • Participate in the annual operating plan, quarterly forecast, and monthly latest revised estimates
  • Analyze and reconcile cash flow, profitability, invoicing, unbillables, and costs on hold
  • Submit and maintain purchase requisitions for subcontractors, consultants, and materials
  • Monitor subcontractor costs and review/approve invoices
  • Participate in new business proposals, project projections, requirements analysis, and cost and management volumes
  • Support other programmatic ad hoc requests as needed

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Bachelor’s degree and three (3) years or more of related experience; or Master’s degree and one year of related experience
  • Additional years of experience may be substituted in lieu of degree
  • Concentration in Finance, Accounting or business related discipline preferred
  • Understanding of financial management
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office tools, especially advanced Excel skills including LOOKUPS and pivot tables
  • Analytical skills and excellent communication and presentation skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Experience working in a fast-paced environment with multiple simultaneous projects and deliverables
  • Ability to communicate effectively and meet deadlines
  • Organized and self-motivated
  • Familiarity with government contracting and contract types (CPFF, FFP, T&M, etc.) is a plus
  • Prefer working knowledge of CostPoint and Cognos Workspace Advanced
  • US citizenship
  • No clearance required to start; ability to obtain a Secret clearance required to maintain employment
