Key responsibilities & impact

Support program efforts involving biometric technologies, facial recognition, RFID-enabled documents, optical character recognition, license plate reading, data analytics, IoT, and other border security technologies
Manage Agile Scrum development activities for one or more projects within the SAFe framework
Oversee requirements gathering with internal stakeholders and the client
Identify follow-on business opportunities and create change orders for work outside the contracted scope
Design and architect solutions using leading-edge technologies
Become the subject matter expert and drive the product roadmap with clients
Review project artifacts, solution designs, cost estimates, workload sizings, and deliverables
Establish and maintain relationships with third-party companies, vendors, and subcontractors
Provide technical and management leadership on major tasks and technology assignments
Establish goals, plans, and roadmaps for quarterly SAFe Program Increments
Lead analysis of functional business requirements and design specifications
Lead identification of problems and solutions within existing systems
Lead analysis, design, and construction of next-generation IT hardware and software systems
Lead client interaction with senior management and government leadership
Perform full system analysis from technical implementation through business process management
Manage multiple solution offerings with long-term vision for enhancement, consolidation, integration, and O&M
Provide technical leadership for delivery, release prioritization, and O&M across multiple systems
Provide technical input and solution design for proposals and contract modifications
Serve as primary technical interface with the client for program solutions
Respond to issues, manage risks, and resolve customer complaints

Requirements

What you’ll need

Bachelor's degree in a technical field of study is required with a minimum of 15 years of experience, or masters equivalent
US citizenship and ability to obtain and maintain a government-required Public Trust
Must be a U.S. Citizen and a current holder of a DHS Public Trust clearance or ability to obtain one
Ability to interface with clients at all levels of their business, including business operations, financial, technology and management
Proven time management skills with focus on customer delivery
Ability to exercise good judgment when responding to clients and evaluating competing priorities
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Agile Scrum project management skills
Ability to work in team environments across diverse projects with multiple stakeholders
Experience managing or leading an Agile Scrum Team in a SAFe framework
Experience managing and leading a remote workforce effectively
Technical working knowledge of system integration, network administration, software development, data analysis, or electrical engineering
System engineering experience in biometrics, RFID, license plate technologies, mobility, or telecommunications concepts
Experience with Atlassian Jira, Confluence, GitLab, and Microsoft Office products
