Key responsibilities & impact

Lead design and implementation of integrated, end-to-end systems solutions across infrastructure, platform, and application layers
Perform systems requirements analysis, decomposition, and traceability
Define and manage interfaces between subsystems, vendor products, and external systems
Plan and execute integration, verification, and validation activities
Conduct systems analysis, trade studies, and capacity planning
Manage and monitor integrated systems for availability, performance, and security
Architect and maintain secure CI/CD pipelines with SAST, DAST, SCA, container scanning, and secrets management
Develop automation workflows for software build, testing, security validation, and deployment
Implement infrastructure as code and policy-as-code for cloud and hybrid environments
Harden operating systems, containers, and platforms and automate compliance verification
Support RMF/ATO documentation, vulnerability management, remediation tracking, and audit evidence generation
Design, develop, and maintain full-stack applications, APIs, data layers, dashboards, and internal tooling
Apply secure coding practices and participate in security-focused code reviews
Collaborate with development, operations, security, and IT teams
Lead projects through deployment and sustainment, participate in technical reviews, mentor junior engineers, and recommend emerging technologies

Requirements

What you’ll need

Strong expertise in DevOps/SecDevOps methodologies and tools, including Jenkins, GitLab CI, Git, Ansible, Docker, and Kubernetes
Experience integrating security into CI/CD pipelines, including SAST, DAST, SCA, container scanning, and secrets management
Proficiency in Python, Bash, or PowerShell for automation
Full-stack development proficiency with a modern front-end framework such as React, Angular, or Vue; a back-end language/framework such as Node.js/TypeScript, Python, Java, or .NET; and relational and/or NoSQL databases
Experience designing, building, and consuming RESTful APIs
Experience with AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud, including management APIs and cloud security services
Systems engineering experience in requirements analysis, systems integration, interface management, and verification and validation
Experience with Linux and/or Windows server engineering, virtualization, and enterprise or hybrid network fundamentals
Knowledge of DISA STIGs, CIS Benchmarks, and vulnerability management practices
Ability to work in a dynamic, fast-paced environment
Ability to lead projects and mentor junior team members
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Computer Engineering, or a related field and 9 or more years of related experience; or master's degree and 5 or more years of related experience
Current DHS Public Trust clearance or ability to obtain one; employment is contingent upon having or obtaining it before starting
