About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Apply MBSE tools and techniques to capture system architecture using the 9 standard SysML diagrams
  • Build structural and behavioral system perspectives and define operations, services, interfaces, and CONOPS to establish a model-based system technical baseline
  • Support requirements allocations and functional decomposition to hardware, software, and lower-level system components within models
  • Integrate models from disparate stakeholders into a cohesive end-to-end environment
  • Produce model-based products using scripts, including DoDAF products, to support program milestones and CDRL items
  • Apply simulation and analysis to the mission architecture via Cameo’s Simulation Toolkit, Matlab, and STK
  • Help establish best modeling practices and enforce contractor SysML modeling standards
  • Enable generation of systems engineering documentation for requirements, ICDs, systems design, CONOPS, verification, and testing
  • Collaborate with prime contractors, other team contractors, government stakeholders, and members of the U.S. Space Force

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering, mathematics, physics or equivalent technical discipline and five (5) years of systems integration and systems engineering related or equivalent experience
  • Active Secret Clearance with the ability to obtain a Top Secret clearance
  • Experience working across space and ground segment organizations to coordinate and identify system requirements and key performance parameters to ensure end-to-end mission performance requirements are met
  • Experience with system architecture development
  • Strong experience using Cameo and knowledge of SysML 1.5
  • Experience working in an Agile team/framework (Desired)
  • Knowledge of space operations and orbital dynamics (highly desirable)
  • Knowledge of Matlab and/or Python, and STK (Desired)
  • Basic understanding of the Global Positioning System (GPS) (Desired)
