About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Work with functional and development teams to identify, document, and execute test cases aligned to business and technical requirements
- Analyze requirements, user stories, and technical specifications to design test coverage
- Design, develop, execute, and maintain UI automated test scripts and frameworks using Playwright
- Identify stable web elements and build resilient automated tests for dynamic web interfaces
- Design, develop, execute, and maintain API test scripts to validate service functionality, integration, and data flows
- Report, track, and verify defects
- Provide test documentation, metrics, and status reporting to support stakeholder visibility and decision-making
- Apply test automation fundamentals within CI/CD pipelines to support regression coverage and release quality
- Define and advance test engineering practices, testing standards, and consistent quality processes across scrum teams
- Share testing best practices and contribute to continuous improvement across the team
Requirements
What you’ll need- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field and 5+ years of experience; alternatively, Master's degree and 3+ years of experience
- Must be a U.S. Citizen
- Must be able to obtain a public trust clearance
- Experience designing, implementing, and maintaining automated test scripts/frameworks for functional, regression, and integration testing
- Practical experience with Selenium, Jira, Playwright, Azure DevOps (ADO), and Micro Focus Application Lifecycle Management (ALM)
- Knowledge of Python, Java, or JavaScript is a plus
- Awareness of GitLab for infrastructure-as-code and CI/CD pipelines
- Familiarity with Agile and/or DevOps methodologies
- Solid understanding of the Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC) and Software Testing Lifecycle (STLC)
- Experience testing APIs and Web Services
- Ability to understand business processes and translate them into technical requirements
- Strong logic and analytical skills
- Excellent written and oral communication skills
- Extremely detail-oriented and well organized
- Ability to work independently or as a contributing team member
