About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Support the US Space Force, Space Systems Command, in operational maintenance and sustainment of ground-based radars
  • Perform troubleshooting and repair of hardware systems requiring integration of diverse and complex components
  • Install, configure, maintain, and troubleshoot Windows/Linux servers, workstations, and networked systems
  • Create, repair, and manage user accounts, permissions, groups, Active Directory, and access controls
  • Implement security controls, patch systems, manage protection, and monitor vulnerabilities
  • Troubleshoot connectivity, DNS, DHCP, VPN, routing, switches, and other network services
  • Perform functional analysis, timeline analysis, and requirements allocation of hardware and software specifications
  • Diagnose and resolve hardware/software issues
  • Verify recovery procedures
  • Document incidents through submission of deliverables
  • Support the SAIC Program Manager and Chief Engineer

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Bachelor’s degree with 5+ years of related experience
  • Active Secret Clearance
  • Troubleshoot and analysis of problems with major systems such as VMware, storage systems, Windows and Linux systems
  • Experience troubleshooting hardware, software, networking and connectivity issues
  • CompTIA Network+ or higher
  • Experience supporting DoD legacy systems with aging hardware (desired)
  • Experience sustaining UEWR or other Strategic Warning and Surveillance radar systems such as PARCS (desired)
  • Familiarity with Risk Management Framework and STIG Implementation (desired)
