About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Join SAIC's Land Border Integration team
Keep the infrastructure running that supports Customs and Border Protection in keeping borders safe
Provide Tier 3 IT systems support across a wide range of technologies
Test, apply, and maintain server configurations and related security patches
Evaluate system performance and recommend improvements or optimizations
Review and perform advanced analysis of system logs
Create troubleshooting documentation and Standard Operating Procedures for repetitive tasks
Work as a technical expert across multiple project assignments

Requirements

What you’ll need

Bachelor's Degree and 5 or more years of experience, or equivalent
Must be a U.S. Citizen with the ability to obtain and maintain a DHS Public Trust clearance
Extensive experience with Windows and Linux operating systems
Experience with cloud-computing services such as Amazon Web Services or Microsoft Azure is highly desirable
Experience with DevOps methodologies and tools, including Jenkins, Git, Ansible, Docker, and Kubernetes
Experience providing Tier 3 IT systems support across Microsoft Windows and Linux operating systems, DHCP, DNS, Active Directory, Certificate Services, Group Policies, and ServiceNow
Experience using Windows Command Line Interface and Linux shell scripting
Proficiency in Windows Batch and PowerShell scripting
Proficiency with SSH
Knowledge and experience with configuration management
Experience testing, applying, and maintaining server configurations and security patches
Experience evaluating system performance and recommending improvements or optimizations
Ability to review and perform advanced analysis of system logs
Ability to create troubleshooting documentation and Standard Operating Procedures
Experience in a rapid-paced, time-sensitive, high-quality environment
Familiarity with C# and Visual Studio
Good technical writing, presentation, and documentation skills
Knowledge of software design principles and modern interface standards, including APIs and web services
Excellent team and collaboration skills
Attention to detail and follow-through
Ability to work with minimal supervision
Experience functioning as a technical expert across multiple project assignments
Must be Clearable for CBP BI Public Trust
