About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Work as part of the PMA-275 government Software Integrated Product Team responsible for modifying aircraft and ground system software to correct defects, implement new capability, and improve aircraft readiness and maintainability
- Lead end-to-end Tactical System Software release operations
- Oversee software configuration processes, initial build generation, internal laboratory testing, flight test support, validation and verification activities, and fleet software distribution
- Direct Release Team configuration management activities to produce software builds according to schedules, processes, and quality standards
- Advise SSA Engineering and Software IPT leadership on configuration matters, release readiness, technical and schedule impacts, risks, and time-sensitive concerns
- Partner with V-22 SSA Engineers, IPTs, industry partners, Fleet Support Teams, and fleet maintainers to identify, update, and maintain software configurations
- Maintain accurate V-22 software configuration records
- Own and maintain V-22 software configuration documentation and ensure authorizations are accurate, controlled, and distributed
- Coordinate with flight test activities to forecast software releases and flight test requirements
- Monitor fleet software-release compliance and provide leadership status updates
- Provide software triage and troubleshooting support for fleet configuration and loading issues
- Collaborate with engineers, industry partners, and subject-matter experts to draft Engineering Change Proposal documentation
- Update, maintain, and improve software configuration management and release SOPs
- Occasional travel may be required
Requirements
What you’ll need- Bachelor's degree in Business, Management, Computer Science, Mathematics, or Engineering and five (5) years or more relevant experience in configuration management; alternatively, Master's degree and three (3) years or more experience; or PhD and 0 years related experience
- Must be a U.S. Citizen
- Must be able to obtain a Secret Clearance after start
- Must have exceptional verbal and written communication skills
- Understanding of software development processes
- Experience with Military Fleet Support Teams and Maintainers
- Must be local to the Indianapolis, Indiana area
