About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Manage day-to-day planning, scheduling, prioritizing, tracking, and reporting for mission-critical software development projects using Java and cloud technologies
Coordinate project delivery and manage dependencies with other project teams
Lead remote software development teams
Facilitate critical stakeholder conversations, including shifting or competing priorities, conflict resolution, and de-escalation
Use SELC and prepare associated documentation, including project plans, charters, business cases, requirements documents, test plans, and reports
Work in Agile software development environments
Define, analyze, and document requirements and user stories with business and solution resources
Gather requirements from senior executives, clients, and business analysts
Translate technical and functional requirements into documentation for project management and development teams
Manage and implement business processes in data-centric, mission-critical environments
Contribute to project scoping, requirement assessment, best practices, application design and development, and process methodologies
Oversee work milestones end to end, including coordinating and writing technical documents and business process flows

Requirements

What you’ll need

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field with 9+ years of relevant experience
9+ years in agile development projects with strong working knowledge of Agile/Scrum methodologies
5+ years of demonstrated data analysis, requirements management and design experience
Excellent interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills
Familiarity with Java services
Prior experience working with developers and data analysts
Experience developing SELC documents
Proficiency with Jira/Confluence
Skills and knowledge using Windows, Microsoft Office Suite and Atlassian tools
Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
Ability to work in challenging, fast-paced, deadline-driven environments, independently and with a team
Commitment to learning, creative thinking, and facilitating collaboration across teams
Ability to obtain and hold a public trust position and favorable suitability based on a CBP Background Investigation
Must be a US Citizen
Must be within the GWA/commutable area
Desired: experience with cloud-native systems, AI/ML, SQL and NoSQL databases, JavaScript, jQuery, Spring Boot, ETL, automation testing, AWS Cloud, service-oriented applications, Angular, and React
PMP or Certified Scrum Master certification is a plus
