About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Build and maintain a resilient, secure, and efficient SaaS application platform meeting established SLAs
- Automate deployment, monitoring, management, and incident response across AWS and/or Azure infrastructure
- Monitor site stability and performance and troubleshoot production issues across the stack
- Scale infrastructure for increasing demand using capacity, reliability, and cost-management practices
- Manage cross-functional requirements with Engineering, Product, Services, and other departments
- Collaborate with developers to bring new features and services into production
- Improve operational practices, procedures, runbooks, and reusable deployment and operations patterns
- Meet information security and compliance standards, including ISO27001, SOC1, and SOC2
- Participate in a follow-the-sun on-call rotation
- Write and maintain architectural, stakeholder, policy, DevOps, and platform documentation
- Perform live demonstrations for stakeholders
- Prioritize incoming platform work, manage work in progress, and deliver predictable outcomes
- Participate in service-request intake and triage, validating scope, readiness, and routing
- Meet response and resolution commitments for service requests
- Partner with product and platform engineering teams on service design and handoffs
- Build standard infrastructure-as-code, pipelines, modules/charts, automation, and guardrails
- Author and curate repeatable, auditable, and safe runbooks
- Produce production-ready assets for new cloud services, datastores, and non-standard deployment patterns
- Support tenant and environment lifecycle workflows, including provisioning, URLs, certificates, and related controls
Requirements
What you’ll need- 5+ years of experience in 24x7 production operations, preferably supporting a highly available SaaS or cloud service environment
- 5+ years of experience with public cloud infrastructure, AWS and/or Azure, with meaningful depth in at least one
- Hands-on experience running Kubernetes in production; Amazon EKS, Azure Kubernetes Service (AKS), or equivalent managed Kubernetes strongly preferred
- Experience with infrastructure-as-code tools, especially Terraform
- Experience with release automation and CI/CD, such as Jenkins, Argo CD, Azure DevOps, or GitHub Actions
- Linux administration and debugging experience in large-scale environments
- Experience using programming or scripting languages to automate operations, such as Python or Bash; PowerShell is a plus
- Strong understanding of system and networking concepts and troubleshooting techniques
- Strong interpersonal, collaboration, and leadership qualities
- Ability to operate in an agile, entrepreneurial, rapidly evolving environment
- Preferred: Experience operating under SLAs or structured intake in a platform, infrastructure, or internal-customer context
- Preferred: Experience with Java/JVM-based services, data platforms such as Kafka or Elasticsearch, or .NET workloads
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or another technical discipline, or equivalent experience
- Additional AWS and/or Azure certifications helpful
