Key responsibilities & impact

Lead month-end close through variance analysis, investigation of financial drivers, journal-entry oversight, and account-reconciliation oversight
Collaborate with Infrastructure, Information Technology, and Finance teams
Ensure compliance with US GAAP, SOX controls, and documentation requirements
Lead and prepare schedules supporting 10-Q and 10-K financial reporting
Apply ASC 350-40 and ASC 350-50 to accounting for internal capitalized software and website development costs
Support internal and external audits by providing audit schedules, evidence, and process overviews
Identify and implement continuous improvements to accounting processes, data reconciliation, reporting, and analysis
Lead a diverse team across levels and locations to complete work accurately and on time
Build and develop the team; mentor, educate, and review other accounting team members
Drive special projects to completion
Present findings and business insights to senior management

What you’ll need

6+ years total experience in accounting and public accounting
Degree or equivalent relevant experience required
Prior management experience within an accounting role
Experience with Workday Finance, Oracle, or another large ERP required
Intermediate/advanced Excel skills, including complex formulas and VLOOKUP
Ability to work with large volumes of transactional data
Solid understanding of US GAAP and experience in technical accounting
Solid understanding of Sarbanes-Oxley
Ability to communicate effectively, influence, interact, and partner with cross-functional and remote teams
Big 4 audit firm experience preferred
Strong collaboration and teamwork skills preferred
Ability to organize and prioritize responsibilities effectively to meet deadlines preferred
Ability to evaluate data, draw valid conclusions, and present information to management preferred
Demonstrated ability to work cross-functionally and at various company levels preferred
Hands-on experience applying ASC 350-40 and ASC 350-50 preferred
Experience with Tableau preferred
