About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Engage with existing customers and new leads to sell the entire Tableau platform
  • Build trusted relationships with key team members and C-suite decision makers
  • Help customers realize value from Salesforce investments
  • Drive analytics discussions and identify use cases within assigned accounts
  • Develop opportunities through warm leads and whitespace prospecting
  • Develop stakeholder relationships and drive customer satisfaction
  • Assist with long-term account strategy aligned to customer business objectives
  • Coordinate product support, customer success, and sales engineering resources
  • Assist with account planning and coordinate with Salesforce Core AEs, Prime AEs, Cloud AEs, and other sales resources
  • Manage complex sales cycles and present Tableau’s value proposition to C-level executives
  • Define and complete territory and account sales plans
  • Meet and exceed sales quotas through prospecting, qualifying, managing, and closing opportunities
  • Develop and manage the sales pipeline
  • Prospect, assess sales, and move multiple transactions through the pipeline simultaneously

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • 7+ years of quota-carrying software or technology sales and account management experience
  • Ideally focused on large enterprise K-12 accounts
  • Ability to work well within a team of partners in a matrixed environment
  • Strong execution focus and sense of urgency
  • Business curiosity combined with technical ability to address customer data challenges
  • Solution-selling mentality
  • Ability to develop plans and solutions, articulate value, and navigate customer complexities
  • Degree or equivalent relevant experience required
  • Experience selling in the software industry or technical sales experience, such as SaaS, preferred
  • Experience with analytics, data, databases, predictive modeling, or business intelligence preferred
