About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Architect, design, implement, test, and deliver highly scalable products
Master and improve the development process, culture, and code base
Complete vital work within the hybrid engineering model to ensure code quality
Mentor others in development technologies, tools, and processes
Present designs to internal and external groups and review others' designs
Develop test strategies and design automation frameworks
Write unit and functional tests to improve code coverage and automation metrics
Participate in the on-call rotation to address sophisticated problems and maintain service availability
Build and ship production-grade software using modern engineering practices and AI development tools
Design and orchestrate systems integrating AI agents into human workflows
Build and maintain shared system context containing system designs, constraints, and standards
Evaluate human- and AI-generated code for correctness, quality, security, and performance

Requirements

What you’ll need

A related technical degree required
3+ years of professional software development experience
Deep knowledge of object oriented programming
Experience with at least one object oriented programming language (Java, Javascript, C++, C#, Ruby, Python)
High proficiency in at least one high-level programming language and web framework (NodeJS, Express, Hapi, etc.)
Proven understanding of web technologies, such as JavaScript, CSS, HTML5, XML, JSON, and/or Ajax
Validated understanding of database technologies such as SQL, PL/SQL and relational database schema design
Experience in automated testing including unit and functional testing using Java, JUnit, JSUnit, Selenium
A demonstrated, genuine AI-first approach to engineering
Experience using AI tools such as Claude Code, GitHub Copilot, Codex, or Cursor in development workflows
Advanced prompt engineering skills
Excellent interpersonal skills
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or equivalent field preferred
Experience building highly scalable web applications preferred
Experience with Agile software development and test-driven development preferred
Track record of being a top performer in current and past roles preferred
