About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Lead a team of Business Development Representatives, Business Development Managers, or Account Executives
  • Sell the entire Salesforce Customer Success Platform across multiple verticals
  • Formulate and implement strategies to increase business growth
  • Partner with Sales, Marketing, Pre-sales, Partner Alliances, Services, and HR
  • Develop and lead the team to generate revenue and achieve individual, team, and organizational quotas
  • Define and implement account plans aligned with sales strategy
  • Hire, train, and develop a team
  • Develop team members into sales-ready candidates for future Account Executive positions
  • Create industry-specific pipeline programs to drive pipeline and revenue
  • Motivate individuals and the team to exceed objectives through coaching, results reporting, and creative incentives
  • Report regularly on pipeline generation, pipeline quality, and revenue forecasting
  • Work with Marketing on campaign follow-up and reporting
  • Work with executive leadership and sales leaders to ensure pipeline quality, quantity, and follow-up
  • Work with Operations on process improvement recommendations
  • Identify and recommend improvements to process, efficiency, and productivity
  • Coach the team in career development and inspire high performance

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • 3+ years of sales leadership experience developing a team of seven or more quota-carrying salespeople, depending on segment
  • Bachelor's degree strongly preferred
  • Strong background in leading sales teams
  • Demonstrated ability to create hard-working teams and lead them to success
  • Excellent presentation and executive engagement skills
  • Excellent negotiation skills
  • Self-starter able to thrive in a fast-paced environment
