About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Define the roadmap for billing, invoicing, and automated provisioning systems with Product, Engineering, and Finance
- Connect sales contracts to automated service activation, usage tracking, and billing cycles
- Improve usage transparency, entitlement transparency, value-based reporting, and provisioning architecture
- Translate subscription and usage-based models into system requirements for entitlement management and metered tracking
- Research modern billing architectures and provisioning mechanisms
- Provide technical deal support for complex go-to-market and operational scenarios
- Drive the commercial readiness and fulfillment aspects of the New Product Introduction process and SKU enablement
- Own billing exceptions, adjustments, credit and refund approvals, and field-team support for customer billing inquiries
- Build platform visibility tools using AI forecasting and anomaly detection
- Collaborate with data engineering on accurate real-time usage metrics and financial reporting
- Deliver AI-first product strategies and roadmaps
- Design product workflows integrating AI agents into cross-functional operations
- Maintain shared product context for reliable AI recommendations
- Evaluate AI-generated product outputs for correctness, quality, business alignment, and user impact
Requirements
What you’ll need- Product management, technical product operations, or systems architecture experience, preferably focused on billing infrastructure or backend platform engines in tech/SaaS
- Strong technical architecture understanding
- Familiarity with complex relational databases, API-driven workflows, and SQL or BI tools
- Proficiency with Generative AI tools for system documentation, technical specifications, and automated configuration testing
- Ability to collaborate with engineering teams and non-technical business stakeholders
- Deep familiarity with backend monetization systems, entitlement mapping, and enterprise operational infrastructure such as Salesforce CPQ
- Strong technical foundation and bias toward automated system workflows
- Early adoption of AI technology and ability to use automation to improve billing and provisioning reliability and efficiency
- Direct experience with operational logic for automated provisioning in tier-based subscription or usage-based architectures
