About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Hold and continuously refine the long-range design vision for Slack's developer platform
Drive design across the full developer lifecycle, including agent behavior, creation, installation, management, and marketplace discovery
Shape how partners such as OpenAI, Anthropic, Cognition, and GitHub bring agents into the Slack ecosystem
Contribute directly to design work as a player-coach and set the craft bar
Grow and develop the platform design team
Own staffing and career development for designers on the team
Partner closely with product and engineering leadership
Report to the Vice President, Product Design

Requirements

What you’ll need

10+ years of product design experience, including work on developer-facing or highly technical products
Experience managing and growing design teams
Hands-on experience with AI and vibe-coding tools
Solid understanding of developer workflows
Track record of partnering with product and engineering leadership to define and refine product direction through design
Experience designing marketplace or agent-discovery experiences (preferred)
Experience bringing third-party agentic experiences into a product (preferred)
Experience designing multiplayer or collaborative use cases (preferred)
Deep familiarity with Slack's platform surfaces and ecosystem (preferred)
