About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Hold and continuously refine the long-range design vision for Slack's developer platform
Drive end-to-end design across the developer lifecycle, including agent creation, installation, management, and marketplace discovery
Define what agents do inside Slack and how developers build them
Shape partner experiences for organizations such as OpenAI, Anthropic, Cognition, and GitHub
Contribute directly to design work as a player-coach and set the craft bar
Build, grow, and develop the platform design team
Own staffing and career development for designers
Partner closely with product and engineering leadership
Report to the Vice President, Product Design

Requirements

What you’ll need

10+ years of product design experience (120+ months), including work on developer-facing or highly technical products
Experience managing and growing design teams
Hands-on experience with AI and vibe-coding tools
Solid understanding of developer workflows
Track record of partnering with product and engineering leadership to define and refine product direction through design
Preferred: Experience designing marketplace or agent-discovery experiences
Preferred: Experience bringing third-party agentic experiences into a product
Preferred: Experience designing multiplayer or collaborative use cases
Preferred: Deep familiarity with Slack's platform surfaces and ecosystem
Must be able to work in an office / Tech-Flexible arrangement
