About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Represent and lead the Revenue Strategy team on major strategic initiatives, including complex Revenue Management projects and high-priority cross-functional company initiatives
  • Work cross-functionally with Operational teams, Product, Sales, Finance, and other stakeholders to implement strategically significant go-to-market initiatives
  • Conduct technical accounting research on complex and novel product offerings, pricing models, and revenue streams
  • Prepare detailed accounting memos and formal presentations for senior leadership review and approval
  • Guide business partners on revenue recognition in accordance with ASC 606
  • Supervise and assist the team with reviewing, documenting, and maintaining SOX controls related to revenue processes
  • Assist with and review SOX controls, reserves, and other reporting deliverables
  • Support product lifecycle management, new product introduction meetings, strategic company projects, and go-to-market initiatives

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • 10+ years combined Big 4 and/or SaaS Industry experience focused on revenue recognition guidance under ASC606
  • Proficient in ASC 606, including identifying performance obligations (POBs) in accordance with standards
  • Proficient in drafting memos on complex product offerings and concluding on all five steps of revenue recognition guidance
  • Ability to articulate complex revenue recognition guidance to business partners in simple, non-accounting language and highlight associated non-compliance risks
  • Ability to take complete accountability of team members’ deliverables and guide the team on day-to-day matters
  • Ability to work in a dynamic, fast-paced, fast-growing company where adaptability is imperative
  • Excellent interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills; ability to present to cross-functional audiences
  • Excellent time management and organizational skills; self-motivation to take ownership and accountability
  • Proven experience in the high-tech SaaS industry (desired)
  • Experience using Salesforce, Revenue Management Software (RevPro by Zuora), and Tableau (desired)
  • Experience with project management (desired)
  • CPA (desired)
