About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Manage software engineers on the Information Technology Application Engineering and Operations team
Manage tools, systems, and applications supporting Salesforce Finance and HR (Employee Success) systems
Hire and retain top engineering talent
Lead and mentor a team of software engineers
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define project scopes, timelines, and resource requirements
Drive implementation and adoption of software engineering best practices, including Agile methodologies and continuous integration/delivery
Champion MuleSoft and Workday integration solutions for Workday Financials or Workday HCM
Oversee comprehensive test automation strategies for integrations and Workday Financials or Workday HCM
Manage stakeholder expectations and communicate project status updates
Collaborate with Information Technology, Finance, and Employee Success teams to scale and enhance systems
Occasional travel

Requirements

What you’ll need

12+ years of experience in software engineering and operations
Proven track record of leadership and project delivery in Finance and HR Systems such as Workday, Peoplesoft, or Oracle EBS
Experience in end-to-end Hire to Retire cycle or Finance business processes
Strong understanding of engineering management principles, including team leadership, performance management, and talent development
Experience managing vendor partners and teams extended with contractors
Experience with innovation, engineering/operational excellence, and test automation
Experience delivering projects in Workday Human Capital Management and/or Financial Transformation
Experience in HR domains including Hire to Retire, Talent Foundations, Total Rewards, Global Time & Absence, and Payroll, or Finance domains including Record to Report, Source to Pay, and Plan to Perform
Experience with multiple integration technologies such as MuleSoft and Workday integrations, including Studio and Orchestrations
Experience managing global teams across multiple time zones
A related technical degree required
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Experience with Agile/Scrum methodology
