About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Lead and mentor an engineering team owning services end to end
Follow Agile methodologies, including 24/7 operations and root cause investigations
Set goals and deliverables for provisioning and deprovisioning improvements
Improve privileged access management, role- and policy-based access control, and access appropriateness
Design, test, deploy, and operate the IAM stack with engineering and business partners
Deliver one enterprise identity solution for Salesforce
Hire, develop, and evaluate direct reports
Drive platforms that continuously assess the security of code and third-party packages used by Salesforce engineers
Shape the next-generation IAM platform with context-aware, just-in-time access and governance
Partner with Site Reliability and engineering teams on cloud-agnostic tooling
Improve deployment of IAM services across first-party and public cloud environments
Strengthen Salesforce’s security posture and NIST CSF score

Requirements

What you’ll need

10+ years of industry experience
At least 3 years managing software engineering teams
Hands-on or team-leadership experience with AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud Platform
Experience with Kubernetes
Experience with Infrastructure-as-Code (Terraform)
Experience building scalable, highly available platforms in Go or Java
Working knowledge of SAML, OpenID Connect, and OAuth 2.0
Working knowledge of identity lifecycle management
Working knowledge of NIST and ISO 27001 compliance frameworks
Experience leading complex programs with cross-functional stakeholders in a matrixed organization
Experience in a 24/7 environment with structured change management
Preferred: 5+ years managing identity and access management teams
Preferred: Experience with Privileged Access Management (PAM)
Preferred: Experience with control plane and data plane access flows in public cloud environments
Preferred: Experience designing cloud-scale IAM services, including single sign-on, multi-factor authentication, and authorization
Preferred: Experience with federation protocols such as WS-Federation
Preferred: Experience driving strategy and using open-source technologies
