Lead the design and implementation of software for managing Kubernetes clusters at scale
Oversee creation of design documents and facilitate stakeholder presentations
Manage integration and evaluation of open-source technologies into the FKP software stack
Lead and mentor a team of engineers, ensuring high-quality deliverables and fostering professional growth
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to align goals and strategies
Expand Salesforce’s Kubernetes footprint by thousands of clusters
Provide Kubernetes platform-as-a-service supporting teams building microservices
Help deliver infrastructure supporting Salesforce services and the company’s transition to Hyperforce

Requirements

What you’ll need

A related technical degree required
Proven track record leading software engineering teams on technically fast-paced projects
Experience leading large-scale distributed systems, working with microservices and/or distributed architecture
Strong verbal and written communication skills
Organizational and time management skills
Ability to be flexible, proactive, and comfortable working with minimal specifications
Experience with short release cycles and the full software lifecycle
Experience working on a product released for public consumption
Experience hiring, mentoring, and leading engineers
Working experience with software engineering best practices, including coding standards, code reviews, SCM, CI, build processes, testing, and operations
Experience with Agile development methodologies
Scrum Master experience required
Experience communicating with users, technical teams, and product management to understand requirements and describe software features and technical designs
Experience with public cloud substrates such as AWS, Azure, or GCP preferred
Experience with container orchestration systems such as Kubernetes and Docker preferred
Experience with open-source projects such as Kubernetes, Karpenter, Argo, Spinnaker, and Terraform preferred
