About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Serve as the core hands-on subject matter expert for end-to-end operational stability, performance, compliance, and continuous optimization of enterprise financial systems
Partner with Finance, Accounting, Procurement, Tax, and Treasury stakeholders to understand system pain points, gather requirements, and translate them into technical solutions
Lead and mentor systems engineers to ensure high availability, reliability, and optimal performance of Core ERP systems while meeting SLAs and KPIs
Own end-to-end resolution of high-priority financial-system incidents and drive root-cause analysis to prevent recurring failures
Own Level 2/Level 3 support issues and coordinate user acceptance testing for system bugs and enhancements
Ensure financial systems comply with internal controls, SOX, data privacy regulations, and statutory financial reporting standards
Monitor user access governance, Role-Based Access Control, and Segregation of Duties
Regularly test and update business continuity and disaster recovery plans for mission-critical financial databases and applications

Requirements

What you’ll need

12+ years of experience in software engineering and operations
Proven track record of service ownership of Financial ERP Systems, especially Workday, Vertex, and other SaaS applications supporting Finance business processes
Operational background in IT Service Management (ITSM) frameworks, incident/problem/change management, API/integration support, and root-cause analysis
Expertise in one of the Finance business processes: Record to Report, Source to Pay, or Plan to Perform
Experience with multiple integration technologies, including MuleSoft and Workday integrations (Studio, Orchestrations, etc.)
Experience leading a global team working across multiple time zones
A keen eye for Innovation, Operational Excellence, and Automation
A related technical degree required
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with technical and non-technical stakeholders
